Can anyone out there tell me the best way to set up a meterial.
heres the scenario. I create bitmaps of clients signage in coreldraw.
i export them out as jpegs.
now in viz, in the materials section i create a new material using the jpegs but when i render the display, the signage seems washed out? and if i adjust the lighting the stand looks dark.

why is it, and how do i controll this.

Any knowledge of lighting and materials that anyone can pass on would be great.

So far when experimenting for me, the hardest part is setting up the lighting right, as you already say, the lighting can wash out colors very quick. What kind of light do you use? Maybe you could add the object that's washed out now to the exlude list of your light, than add another light that only lights that object just as much as you want?
