Clearly the metric and english file types are because of the units that the parts are made as.

what about default? how do i set my default? i want it to be in english units but i cant set it.

Very confused. Do you want a part file with GB Standards eg dimensions ?

i want my drawings in feet and inches. i want them ALL to be feet and inches. Always, forever and ever and ever. no exceptions.

If i remember right, you have to select inches when its installing, halfway throu it asks for a default setting, i bet you selected mm, am i right?

i do not remember. is there a way of checking this? i think i picked inches anyways but yeah you bring a good point to the table. i totally forgot that you had to pick units during install.

You have 3 tabs DEFAULT-ENGLISH-METRIC the defaultis how u set it up when you installed, so why not ignore the default tab and click english every time you start a new project/drg/assy ?

yeah well i double checked it and i did set my default for feet and inches so i can use the items in the default box from now on without worrying.
