hello
i'm working in ACAD 2006, and recently a problem occured! I draw some dimensions in a new UCS, orthogonal to World. When i opened the drawing again the next day, the dimension were upside-down, as if drawn in Wld. I changed them again, but the problem reappeared.

How do i convince those dimensions to stay put, and not change at their own will?

what do you mean by orthogonal to world?

did you make a dimension style for your drawing?

i have 3 buildings in an H formation, and in layouts i have to insert them with the long side at the bottom, that's why i had to change the UCS for the middle one. I rotated the UCS with 90degrees,

what do you mean with "i had to change the UCS for the middle one"?
did you save a "view" when you rotated the ucs into 90degrees?

am still figuring out what do you want to do.

are you using "mv" multi-view in layout? how many mv do you have in the layout?

if you have a lot mv in the layout and manipulate one mv, did the other mv follow the display of what you are currently working on?

if yes? manipulate the "ucsfollow" command. maybe that's the answer to your question.

Your dimensions will be correct in the current UCS.

If you change the UCS then it will dimension in whatever that current UCS is.

It's the same as 'flat' lines eg a Pline will have an XY the same as it's original UCS XY. It's 'thickness' wouldbe whatever the original UCS Z direction was.

Hitting Ctrl+1 when an object's selected, brings up all this data in the properties docker.

ok, I see my english is not very good and nobody understands my problem.

i know that dimensions should be aligned to the ucs i draw them in, even when i change the ucs for another view. My problem is that they do not do that. From time to time (not always) they align to World.

in this drawing there are 2 UCS: World and corpA, rotated 90dgrees by Z axis. This corpA is the problem.

I don't know if i'm doing something wrong or is it just a bug.

Type UCS then hit F1.

Explore the help that pops up.

the problem might be that it doesn't save the ucs with the viewport, although the box is checked. Every viewport i enter has World UCS as current, no matter what i do.
