I was looking to render in Autocad 2002 an ithem that must have a light, shiny chrome look.
I have choosed different materials and came very close to what I need but still not the natural look of the shiny chrome. Is anyone here that have done the chrome thing in autocad and able to give a hint?

Reducing the 'transparency' and increasing the 'reflection' and reducing 'roughness' will increase 'shinyness'
Effectively creating it more 'Mirror like'.
Enjoy.

PS You may not have all materials (textures) installed
see my Autocad tips tip 3, for help on this
PPS I have mirror material tutorial here www.autocadzone.com on the main page, Undera Autocad tutorials, 'Mirror' :P
PPS I uploaded it for you, it is not HTML but a corel file saved as *.pdf.

As usual, Nick's advice is good.
Also see the tutorial I sent you on chrome and changing its colour.

Rob.

Yes, tweaking colours has an 'atmosphere' changing effect (AKA Marking scheme).
You could spend all day with this but the reflection colour is critical.

I know, I cannot get it to link to the file.
So right click the mirror zip link and choose 'save target as'
