Hello Everyone,
Please ,what would be the way to create the Y Shape into a solid.This solid will represent a 3" pipe made from stainless steel.I have attached a PDF file of the shape.
Please any help appreciated

you could do that with 2 sweep operations, then shell them. Or since your object is symetrical you could do it with a sweep and mirror operation.
looking at your drawing is it to scale? If the radius is .2" i dont think a 3" Y pipe would even fit there. You will have some issues with small radius corners and self intersecting solids maybe. You will need to have a radius at least equal to the radius of your pipe so it wont self intersect.

Yes i used your suggestions and it worked perfectly.
It was not to scale in the picture just a quick diagram of the shape.

no problem. glad it worked for you tony.
Just so you know inventor does have standard pipe fittings in the content center and there is also tube routing function that will let you create routed tube/pipe assemblies by laying out their paths with sketches.
