Hey Guys
Heres a good one for you. Is there a way to import dwg files from LT 2004
into vectorworks 10.5 and vise versa we have tried various things and get some results but we have to attach a pdf of the original drawings so we can see what the drawing is supposed to look like. We need to be able to edit the drawings at both ends so to speak. Is there software available etc.
or is there a Cad trick lurking that i have not found yet.
Regards

Can't VW (vectorworks) open a dwg file? I was told that it could. Not sure if it will open a r2004 file but it should be able to open a r2000 file. Can you not save your r2004 file down to a r2000?

It can open several formats alledgedly but its a bit hamfisted it does not recognise viewports scaled or otherwise, layout tabs, hatch, dimensions well the list goes on hence the additional pdf file i send. Its a bit like shipping a Ferrari and taking delivery of a scoda if you know what i mean.

Well that stinks. I have always be told that VW was one of the better apps at opening dwg files :(
