Sketching using a digitizer in autocad...

Hey,

I am trying to hook up a digitizer to sketch some handdrawn maps into autocad... I have it all hooked up and installed but am having some problems trying to sketch...

I can calibrate the tablet no problem but when I try to sketch the cursor will disappear when I use the tablet mouse, and nothing will show up on the screen...

The cursor will also periodically disappear just when moving the tablet mouse around while not trying to sketch as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Honestly, I would just scan the drawing and use it as a background in AutoCAD to draw over.
