when i set scale factor in viewport scale control and after i go back in PS and then again in MS everything in viewport is automatically zoomed all!?

What value is UCSFOLLOW set to ?
Also, check that your viewport scale is locked before you enter into it via paperspace.

Also you may wish to lock the viewport after it is set up properly. See the properties.

Dusko - Reading this thread helped me too - The zoom extents inside the viewport was driving me mad - Thanks

Changing the subject - did you work in South Africa about 10 years ago?
