I need some help, I am trying to render my drawing using some metal texture, my problem is how to render it to appear shiny and smooth when I use the gold or chrome texture, it always come out not shiny and smooth as I wished, I am using autocad 2002. like for example I want to draw a golden ring and make it looks shiny and smooth like the original ring, any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance to this site, it helps me a lot.

If you go Tools>Options>display tab, make sure your Render Smoothness is set high, otherwise your curved items will look segmented.
While you are there increase the arc and circle smoothness too.
Hope this helps.
I cant help you with the materials bit, its been 2 years since ive had to render in autocad. Mr T should be able to help you there. There is a post thats current that explains chrome\shiny materials.
