I'm trying to plot a drawing but I don't get the dialogue box. I'm in paper space when I click on plot and I get the following in the command line:

Command: _plot

Document "C:\Projects\EL_PV&V\Test Equipment\MECA Benches\79X298741 - Rear

Controller Box\Drawing Source\79X298741 MECA Bench Rear Controller Box.dwg" has

a command in progress.

Hit enter to cancel or [Retry]: *Cancel*

Controller Box\Drawing Source\79X298741 MECA Bench Rear Controller Box.dwg" has

a command in progress.

Any ideas on why it won't bring up the plot dialogue box?

AutoCAD thinks it "has a command in progress."

I've had this issue a couple times. Make sure that all open drawings are waiting for new commands, there are no window selections that have only had the first point selected and so on. Hit escape sveral times in all open drawing windows.

Try the command again.

If this does not work, close ALL drawings and then reopen just the one you want to plot. Try ploting again.

If that does not work, post back.

Thanks Glen. I tried hitting escape on all open drawings but no go. I closed all drawings and reopened the one I wanted to plot and it worked.

ESC doesn't always close a command- you might well have been in REFEDIT, in which case REFCLOSE might have been worth a try. Just in case anyone else comes across this problem.
