MD 2002 to MD 2004 layout question

I learned using mechanical desktop 2002, but now have to use 2004. Everything went fine until I wanted to make a layout. In 2002, I would make a base view, then click on it for a new view, a dialouge box would show up and I could just make the orthographic and isometrics views from there. I can't seem to figure it out how to do this in 2004.

I setup a new layout using LAYOUT command then hit the button for views AMDWGVIEW, setup a baseview selecting entities, then added the others.

There is a wee tick box on the baseview dialogue that says 'return to dialogue' maybe you have switched this off/on and can't see the dialogue ? This is MDT2004 ver7.0.0 and no service packs etc applied.
