I do not do a lot of plotting so I never have taken the time to figure this out right. I'm trying to set up a drawing to plot with a screening of 35% on everything except for the new electrical layers.

For example I have set up 5 new layers on a drawing and assigned colors to them. The drawing has two xrefs, basic floor plan and a title block. When I plot I select all the colors in the plot style table and change them all to 35%. Then go back clicking the individual colors of the layers that I want back at 100%. This works fine but the problem is it also screens the border down to 35% as well.

I have changed all the colors in the border to a single color and included it in the 100% screening but I know this is not the correct way of doing it.

Anybody have any solutions for me or able to point me to some tutorials.

Thanks.

Using CTB files that is pretty much how it has to be done. As you found out, as long as the colors of the border are not used for the 35% then you are all set.

I use STB files now and find this type of situation a lot more user friendly to set up.
