Architectural Metalwork

I've just started a new job in a architectural metalwork company. We use acad for 2d and xsteel for 3d. From looking @ inventor it seems to me that this would be a good solution for our company as xsteel is based towards structural steelwork.

Being a architectural metalwork company I would like more info into what you want to do. Having posted into the Inventor Forum i take it you want to know what Inventor can do for you for your company.
What are you making??

Large projects or small? Architectural is not for Inventor its a 3d Model package.

Disagree there. Inventor is for 3D Modelling including any metalwork and architectural stuff. He could design stuff and stress analyse it, parametrically model itthen create BOMs and then 2D sheets for detailing.

Having looked into Inventor being used in Architectural Projects I now Hold my hands up high and admit i was wrong to post

Inventor can play just as good a part in the the overall outcome of even the largest of projects. 8)

Yeah, it's a great package :D . Although it lacks the power of layers and 2D drafting power of Acad. :x

The instant rendering of objects is great for visualizations. 8)
