help!!! inventor r8 drawing and lofting different planes

Trying to loft parts. The loft is going ok UNTIL I try to add rails.

For some reason I am having trouble getting the rails to intersect with the profiles.

Not sure I can explain it any better. (I'm not an engineer)

I snap to work points but somehow the drawings don't intersect

Please help if you can remotely understand what I'm trying to ask.
