ecucksey Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Hi, I work with a number of other people, all of us using basic vanilla AutoCAD 2010. As far as I've been able to tell, we all followed essentially the same steps in downloading, installing, and setting up the program on our individual computers. We are all using Engineering model units. When I create a viewport, and then go to set the viewport scale by selecting from the pop-up menu down on the lower right corner of the screen, I get a selection of pre-set scales that include ratio (1:50), and Architectural (1/4"=1'). But if I want an Engineering scale (1"=50'), I have to build one myself. On a cohort's computer, their pre-set viewport scale selection is all Engineering. Is there a way to change from one selection of pre-set viewport scales to the other? What possibly causes the difference in this case? Thank you for any help. Quote
ecucksey Posted November 30, 2009 Author Posted November 30, 2009 I should mention that we're all using the student version of the software. Quote
Ollie8974 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 In 2010 I don't know where you will find the correct settings. In 2007, Toolbar > Format > units > Drawing limits > Choose Architecural, Decimal, Engineering, Fractional, Scientific. Quote
ecucksey Posted December 1, 2009 Author Posted December 1, 2009 We've all got our Units set the same: Engineering. Quote
