Hi all, i have basic knowledge of photoshop,so here goes.

heres what i want to do, i have a 3d.EPS that i generated out of autocad and using the magic want and paintbucket tool, i want to fill in the line work with bitmaps, kind of a quick rendering/visulisation without the hassel of a full blown rendering setting.

My question, how do i use/select bitmaps to do this?

thanks for any feedback.

can you share it with me so I can take a look?
Most likely by creating a new layer and using that new layer to add colors and such

Well you can use the pattern stamp or fill techique. Open an image of the pattern or texture you want to use. Make a selection and then go to Filters - Pattern Maker. Here you can use a selection as a pattern. I don't think that you will like the result. By the time you make selctions and fill with a pattern you could have made a quick "real" render of the image.

it would be easier if your image was black and white. I'll see if I can't find a tutorial on this. ;)
