I need a simple AutoCAD job!

Hello forum!

Sorry for begging in the first place. I just a simple 2D AutoCAD job of an approx. 50sq flat's ground plan. Only the walls, doors and sizes needed. Can someone help me out with just a ground plan?

Yep, I knew I would get some kinda answers like this. :)

Unfortunately I don't know AutoCAD enough. I need this for a homework I didn't even know I have to do. Now, if I'd need CAD for my future, I would try to make it by myself, but I will never need this software, I can't even figure it out why do I need to do a homework with it.

Unfortunately the deadline is smth like 1-2 days. I have more things to learn, more important ones. So I guessed, some of you guys surely have just a little sample of a ground plan in AutoCAD, and would be kind to lend me one.

We are not here to do your homework for you. Regardless of whether you feel it's important or not, it is YOUR homework and you need to do the work.

What class is this for?
I don't understand why you would be using Autocad in class if it's not something you need to learn? :unsure:

You are absolutely right, and I didn't ask anyone to do my homework. It's just such a simple thing in AutoCAD I guessed someone has some kind of drawing which I need.

I attend an engineering college, but I'm not studying to be an architect or anything like that, so trust me, I'll never need to know AutoCAD. We have a few things to learn in the first two semesters here, which isn't really needed in our profession. And we're not using AutoCAD in class, they just told us to do a homework in it (technician drawing or whatever lesson, dont know how they call it in English).

So all in all, I didn't mean to get my homework done, I just ask if anyone has a 50sq ground plan by any chance, and would be kind to lend me one...

I'm not going to get into an debate over semantics. You've asked for someone to give you a completed drawing so you can hand it in and get credit for this assignment. That IS asking us to do your homework. :roll:

And I don't believe that your instructor would ask you to do a homework assignment in Autocad without first teaching you how to use the program. That doesn't make any sense at all. How would any of you even be able to attempt it without any training? It would be impossible. And, you would need access to Autocad, which you said you don't even have in the classroom? So that means you would all be expected to have computers at home with Autocad loaded up. But why would any of you have Autocad if you don't use it in class and it is not necessary for your future occupation? This does not make any sense. :?

If you need help figuring out how to do this assignment, please feel free to ask as many questions as you need to. There are plenty of members here that would be more than willing to take the time to help you out, but I can guarantee you that no one here is going to hand over a finished drawing to you so that you can take credit for it. That is not what CADTutor is about.

If you expect to get a job in the engineering field, you may want to learn Autocad. You may not want to be a draftsman, but it sure is helpful with the design of projects.

You could probably find something to suit your needs over at the CAD Block Exchange Network. Just give credit where credit is due when you hand in your paper. Don't lie and say you did it yourself.

The engineers in my office use AutoCAD at least on a weekly basis. It's much nicer when they give me a sketch to draw that they generated by AutoCAD, I mean I would not try to use their drawing to create my final product, but it does make my job a little easier.

Microstation.
