uhcafigdc
I have a computer running Windows XP SP3 with all the latest updates. When I start up AutoCAD LT 2006 and open a drawing, I get an error, and a subsequent crash of AutoCAD LT 2006: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime LibraryRuntime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\AutoCAD LT 2006\aclt.exe This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. I have tried: - Enabling the "Check Web for Live Enablers" option - Installing the Autodesk Building Systems 2006 LT Object Enabler - Installing the Autodesk Architectural 2006 Object Enabler - Installing the Service Pack 1 from Autodesk - Installing the OEHotfix from Autodesk - Uninstalling and reinstalling AutoCAD LT 2006 - Running windows updates - Uninstalling everything from add/remove programs having to do with Microsoft Visual C++ - Uninstalling everything from add/remove programs having to do with .NET framework - Reinstalling all the updates related to .NET Framework - Making women feel uncomfortable Any other ideas? Edit: I isolated the issue further and found that the Object Enabler message I was getting is not related to the crash.
ReMark
Hmmm...I don't see that you tried the REPAIR option.

ReMark
Looks like you have been pretty thorough to me. Just out of curiousity, what antivirus program are you using?
uhcafigdc
antivirus programAVG Network Edition
ReMark
Have you tried disabling antivirus, loading AutoCAD and then trying to open a drawing? So AutoCAD only crashes when you open a drawing? It doesn't crash during loading right?

ReMark
What is the source of the drawing? Are we talking any drawing or a few particular drawings?
uhcafigdc
What is the source of the drawing? A .dwg file sitting on a file server. Are we talking any drawing or a few particular drawings? Any drawing. All drawings.
ReMark
Re: Source. I meant more like drawn in-house or obtained from a client, consultant or manufacturing company. Since you answered "all drawings" I guess it doesn't matter. Other than some new VBA virus or rogue Lisp routine I cannot think of anything else. Ready to wipe the drive and start over?
