View Full Version : Free 3d CAD Program - No Bull !!!

Does anyone know of a program called "Blender". One of my contract agents was telling me about it , saying how it could do everything that AutoCAD could, and more - I've downloaded a copy from www.blender3d.com, and certainly seems to what it purports to be...I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who knows the program in more depth than myself as to whether it's worth spending the time learning it...

Oh yeah sure, I've tried Blender. I just can't get it though :? Maybe I am used to Max or others and I just can't get out their operations. I have seen some incredible images from Blender but I just can't get it. There are some people using Yafray and Blender as a rendering engine for SketchUp files, some are having some good results. I will say that anyone interested should try it, they might just get it.

:lol: Maybe we should have stipulated that the MP3 player competition entries MUST be done using Blender! That would sort out the men from the boys.

If life was easy, we'd never learn anything - is it a challenge CADTutor? (I finished the modelling on the MP3 player on monday)
