I'm new to the CAD community and I need a software recommendation for designing 'things' that:

1) can be put into motion to prove the functionality....

2) use physics like gravity, magnets, resistance....

3) can calculate torque, horsepower, RPMs....

I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, but I've grown weary of trying to build 'things' over and over on a trial and error basis.

TIA,

Mr T

Sounds to me like Mr T has recommended a good package for what u want.
Inventor has drive constraints that will test your design for errors,
not only that but u can see your product working in realtime.
 opps just noticed the date of post. still hope it helps :)
