I am new to Autodesk, Landdesktop, Landdesktop Survey. I am attempting to reduce a raw or gsi file directly from my Leica TC1100 Total Station into this new software. I don't know how; use a field book? New project? not sure where to start, already tried help file. Can anyone help?

I'm not very familiar with Leica TC1100 Total Station. Any information you can give us on it?

Also, do you already have the ability to transfer the file to your CAD workstation?

I'll do some Google searches and see what I can come up with. I let you know what happens.

After taking a look at the brochure, my guess would be to find either a laptop with a PCMCIA slot or a PCMCIA converter device if you don't have access to a laptop.

Try to determine the file type the device uses for storage, then you can probably find a suitable middleman application for converting to a format readable by AutoCAD. Of course, it may be already readable by AutoCAD, you'll just have to find out.

Here's some adapters for desktop computers:

This is the link for the quick start manual to the TC1100(called TPS1000), hope that tells u about the instrument http://www.leica-geosystems.com/se/surveying/Newspaper/Manualer/TPS/Quick%20Start_en.PDF
Previousely i have extracted a .gsi file(or raw file) into "Leica Survey office" and then someone else reduced(import) it into Civilcad for me. My new software should allow me to send directly from the TC1100 into Autodesk Survey 2006 and get a picture/diagram in about 5 minutes
