designing seat for golf trolley

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I am designing a plastic seat for this golf trolley, here is a photo i have to work from gokart.jpg

(bearing in mind the bag will be on this)

the seat has to be suitable for the majority of adults, it has to be foldable and compact and able to be moved from transport to seated position using one hand or less.

I am having trouble deciding where the seat will be positioned on the golf trolley and what kind of mechanism to use, I am also not sure what the best material of plastic would be for this.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Matt, thanks for the quick reply, it is a little task my uncle asked me to give a shot, so more or less fun and a little bit of a learning activity for me lol

wow that was quick! id love to see what youve come up with. You pretty much need to have the seat around the green cover for it to be stable. Do the wheels have a brake on them?

yes, the wheels have a brake, it isn't possible to design the seat for around the green cover as the golf bag will sit on top of this lol

yup i understand that but unless the seat has its own legs that pop out it will most likely tip over. Will you have legs that fold out in front of the single wheel to sit in front of the bag? Hows the design coming?
