alijahed Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Hi All, Is there any way to attach a script to a DWG file which allows us once somebody open that file the file appears in a way that I want to be? like set the parameters or run the certain commands. Cheers Ali Quote

Thanks for your reply, whatever ... it gives us an opportunity to dress up the file on every computer the idea came out to me when I was thinking about a way for creating a file protection system. To me it is so stupid that AutoCAD doesn't have the password protection option!!! Cheers Quote
ReMark Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 AutoCAD allows the use of a password to open a drawing. Drawing properties can be encrypted. The user can also attach a Digital Signature to a drawing and can time stamp it as well. All of the above is covered in your AutoCAD Help files. Quote

It is a good way for protecting the drawing but once you do that, those blocks on the tool palette which addressed to that drawing needs the password to open. that would be great if we had same thing for the blocks or at least having the permission to open the drawing with the functionality of the dynamic blocks but doesn't allows the user to edit the blocks.
