2002 to 2006 and back? Formatting

I briefly looked and searched on the forums, and google, but my question is, is if there is a way maybe format a DWG to a PDF from 06 then back again to put it into 02. So basically I need to make an 06 DWG compatible in 02. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

Save your drawing as AutoCAD 2000 file for it to be 2002 compatible.

I don't see the connection w/ the PDF though. Adobe Acrobat readers have different versions as well.
