batwench
I am a tutor at a college in the UK and we are using AutoCAD Mechanical 2008. We have come across a slight problem when we go to put in a section line and do the business it can sometimes take 1 attempt or a heck of a lot more. It always comes up with the section x-x (or letter of your choice) at the end of it but the actual section line doesn't. Is this a 'bug' in the program that other people have experienced or just that our program hates us all?
ReMark
Is 2008 up to date with the latest service pack? When did the problem first occur? Did the command work correctly at any point in time?
batwench
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. Been a very busy kitty. Answer to Questions: 2008 - it has service pack 2. As far as we know, i.e. my self and another tutor it has always be a bit flakey. Some times it works properly for one person but not for another on the same computer. Some times first time sometimes not. The college computers are running min spec for the program so I suspect that is the problem. They are also NEC's so have a tendency to stop working all together for no reason.
ReMark
You might consider whether it is worth attempting to use the REPAIR option.
batwench
You might consider whether it is worth attempting to use the REPAIR option. Will try it on one of the computers. Thanks for the advice. Now just have to figure out how to do that
ReMark
It is done via Windows through the Add/Remove Programs option.
