use dxf files on a palm o.s handheld.

for those who have been longing for a cad program for palm,

no, my palm vx suffered a cracked screen a few months back.
from what i gather it will only work on the new palm handhelds,namely the tungsten and zire 71 range as they have the new stron ARM processor in them. I am looking at getting a Zire71 in the next few months so i will get a trial copy then.

I have posted the same notice on the brighthand forum so hopefully some one out there will post a reply on the ins and outs.

I will keep you posted.

this is what i found on there site.

ZiPCAD has all of the most frequently used features CAD features including Lines, Shapes, Text, CAD Edit tools, Layers, Line Types, Custom Colors, Snap Preferences, Custom Shortcuts, and Metric/English units, Polar/Cartesian coordinates, Keypads for quick entry, and more. ZiPCAD streamlines As-Built documentation by allowing CAD users to document existing conditions in the field using their Palm OS handheld, while being intuitive enough to use for schematic design and design development. Drawings can be downloaded to desktop CAD applications, such as AutoCAD, via the DXF format during a HotSync operation. ZiPCAD will run on any Palm OS device running OS 3.1 or higher, which includes more than 95% of the Palm OS devices in distribution, including those from Palm, Handspring, and Sony.

Requirements:Palm OS 3.1, Windows 98 or higher
