LAMPLIGHTER Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I OPENED AN OLD DRAWING (+/- 8 YEARS OLD) AND IT APPEARS BLANK. THE STATUS COMMAND SAYS THERE ARE 46 OBJECTS IN THE DRAWING. THE STATUS ALSO SAYS THAT THE MODEL SPACE USES "NOTHING". IN PAPER SPACE, THE STATUS SAYS THERE ARE 52 OBJECTS IN THE DRAWING AND ALSO APPEARS BLANK. ZOOMING TO EXTENTS NEVER SHOWS ANYTHING OR WILL ERASE ANYTHING WITH A CROSSING WINDOW. WHAT'S GOING ON ?? Quote
ReMark Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Someone erased all the objects then saved the drawing? Everything is on a layer that has been frozen? Quote
nukecad Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Try typing in- ERASE SELECT ALL Do it for both model and paperspace. You probably have 'empty' text objects, 'empty' blocks, etc in the drawing. Quote

Maybe There Is Text That Is Only A "space", And Does Not Show ?? Erase All, In Model Space, Responds With "1 Found, 1 Was Not In Current Space". Erase All, In Paper Space, Responds With "1 Found, 1 Was The Paper Space Viewport". Now The Status Command Shows 52 Objects And "nothing" In Both Model & Paper Space. Quote
Cad64 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I wouldn't worry about it. The 52 objects could be just about anything. I just opened a brand new drawing using the default acad.dwt template and STATUS returns 157 objects even though there is absolutely nothing in the drawing. So consider yourself lucky that you somehow only have 52 objects. Quote
flem snopes Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Could be some blocks which are there but not inserted. Did you try a purge? Quote
ChristinaSeay Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 I've had this same thing happen to me. There can be hidden blocks in the drawing.. I can't remember exactly what I did to make them show themselves though... Quote
