Done a few drawings used copy and paste from file to file as they are similar, now when i revisit drawings only layer 0 exists and no drawing info is visible.

Sounds like you forgot to save the drawing after making the changes.

There are no other layers at all?

Something isn't right, copy 'n paste shouldn't delete the items from the original drawing.

When I'm done with a drawing I always write protect it.

If I change the original, I have to note a revision if required.

Let's hope you have some backups so you can restore your original drawings.

Sorted thanks, a word of advice never rename a drawings on a server, when the files are checked out on your C drive, when its time to checkin you get a file not found error, combine that with a pc crash and the files on the server are left empty, luckily they were still on my c drive as their original names
