eldon Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Houston...We had a problem. It is not clear from Remark's remark, which is in the past tense, whether the problem still exists. Perhaps a clarification could be posted. Thank you Quote
ReMark Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 It just appeared as though the question got cut off in mid sentence and I half expected to see an attached image. That's all. Quote
NBC Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Maybe the OP solved his question before he finished asking it; or he pressed the 'Panic Button' as his boss hovered over his shoulder Quote
Mason Dixon Posted April 13, 2010 Author Posted April 13, 2010 Actually I exploded the hatch to trim. Trimming vertical or horizontal objects with the rectangular trim command is a breeze but on angled objects it's tedious to zoom in and select every little line to trim. I was wondering if someone had a fast way tip to trim all the little pieces coming off the angle line in 1 or 2 steps. Quote
ReMark Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I believe a solution is depicted above. Go back and take a look. Quote
lpseifert Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Try trimming without exploding the hatch (which, BTW, is considered a capital offense in some/most offices) Also, are you aware of the Fence option to select objects? It's handy for selecting objects to trim. Quote
Patrick Hughes Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Another solution is to simply recreate the hatch. Quote
Mason Dixon Posted April 13, 2010 Author Posted April 13, 2010 Most of the time I don't explode the hatch but for some situations its easier. The fence command is great tho, just what I was after, thanks! Quote
Pablo Ferral Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 You can trim hatch objects directly in 2010 - no need to explode... Also -Try the 'FENCE' Option of the trim command to slect lots of bitty-bits. Whoops, two late... Quote
