Very interesting but not a surprise. The recent massive growth in the use of PHP and MySQL as the preferred platform for web development has put Microsoft's tools well and trully in the shade. I guess they figure that by offering them to students for free, they can tip the balance. Fat chance in my opinion. PHP and MySQL are free for everyone. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a PHP development environment from MS in the near future. Or maybe they'll develop MSPHP :wink:
