qball Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Attached is a block for a Drawing title. The block is annotative with 2 attributes, Title and Scale. However I want the Scale Default to be the same as my Annotation Scale on my Status Bar. I looked through the Field options, but couldn't find which one would coordinate with my Annotation Scale. Any help? Caption.dwg Quote
Dorian Gray Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 If I understand your question right, I think you have to set the annotative scale on your status bar to the scale you require, then the annotative text will appear for that scale. I have xrefs with annotative text in them, I use a script to set the scale in the status bar at the bottom of the screen. Sorry if I misunderstood, hope it helps. Quote
qball Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Dorian, I can get the annotations etc, to work, but I want the "scale" to be a Field. I think I saw it on one of Ellen Finkelstein's tutorials. Unfortunately, that's not what the tutorial was about. Maybe I'll just try to email her. Quote
lpseifert Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 If your annotation scale is the same as your viewport scale... Field > Object > Object type > select viewport > Property > Custom Scale (or Standard Scale) Quote
qball Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 Perfect, thanks! edit: I believe that only works as long as the Field attribute is inserted in Paperspace. Probably the better way to do it anyway. Quote
