align line end with text

Is there any autolisp by which line end can be stretched up to nearby text node as oer specified distance for filtering for selection set.

There are line and text objects in drawing in separate layer. It is a network type drawing and drawing should be such that each line end should connect with text node so that x-y coordinates will remain same for particular line and text. Is there any command/ autolisp routine to select lines and texts in selection box and user will specified max. distance (between line end and text) for auto connect of line end with nearby text. This will apply for entire selection sequentially.

Set Edgemode to 1, then select accordingly and extend.

That's a pretty outlandish request. I've been wrong before, but I doubt something like that exists and it'd be pretty funky to try and automate such a task.
