hi - im using autocad 2005 (full version) and I want to insert some jpegs of a 3d i have done onto the page - if i go to image manager i can insert the picture fine but the problem im having is i cannot bind the picture to the drawing - so when i need to print from another machine the image is not there it is just the destination of the image folder

i have used Autocad 2004 LT and by double clicking the image it takes you to paint where you can update the image in autocad and it seems to bind the image to the drawing but this doesnt work on the full version. - and i really need to be able to do it on my full version

has anyone got any idea how to overcome this problem?

Hello Gavin_21!
Welcome in our Forum!

I am not sure about 2k5, I jumped from 2k4 to 2k6. Do you have ETRANSMIT in the File menu? If so, use this command, not the regular SAVE. It will pack all the resources used in the drawing -including the raster images.

however it still works on my computer if i do eTransmit and move the jpg to a different folder.

any ideas why it wont work on a different machine?

he will need to ensure the folder that you unzip is in the support file search path under Tools>Options.

Maybe............ :? i think thats right.
