Hi: I am looking for a good source to set up some proper standards. The best way to name layers, which line weights, symbols ect.
Are there any good links or even books?
Thanks:
Paul

It can have a lot to do with which displine you are in. Architectrual probably has the most elvolved standard.
The biggest thing is common sense and consistancy. -David

When I started engineer my places of employment set the standard but I found that its very important to have your own standard as well. I found that having a standard template title block helps to be consistent. I have all the sizes my plotter can handle in a seperate layout. I also have common layers that I will use.
As far as i know there is not much of an industrial standard for line weigts, and layer names. The only thing that I have heard repeated is "do not draw red lines on your print".
