how to get the total area of building

I want you to help me how to get the total area of building using

autocad _2007 _2d

The AREA command?

Maybe use BPOLY?

I usually draw a polyline around the buildding perimeter or whatever you need to get the area for and then look under the property of it. Under geometry you should see the area info there.

If your boundary is a pline or a region, type Area, then Object. Pick it.

If your boundary is a series of lines, type Area, then pick each vertex of the building footprint.
