16 bit vs 32 bit color resulting in flickering cursor Architecture 2008

Heya--

I 'upgraded' to windows 7...and now if i use true color, the cursor flickers. totally annoying. if i switch to 16 bit, it works fine, but then i lose all the aero interface built into windows 7, and no color gradients in images work...they're stepped and ugly. Any ideas?

Is this a new computer or new OS install?

Try running AutoCAD in compatability mode for Vista, or maybe you need to check if your graphics card driver was trashed by Win 7, If you had an mfg driver update it may have been overwritten during the win 7 install, or see if your monitor resolution is set to the highest it was designed for.
