Krystyna Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Hello, I am making drawing templates: first, I create dwg with all layers, title blocks and A-Anno sheets. Then I save as dwt. When I insert this template into my newly created drawing I am receiving a template but different from what I just created. Can anyone help? I am getting crazy.... Quote
JD Mather Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Not sure what you mean by "insert template in newly created drawing"? You should do File>New and select your template dwt file. This will start a new dwg from your template with your template settings and will not alter your template. Quote
Krystyna Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 I mean : Insert > Layout > Layout from Template. It just did not work for me. Quote
Rebel Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Thats inserting a layout tab, which is completely different. To use your template file, you need to start a new drawing and point autocad to the dwt file you made Quote
