JD Mather Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 If you look closely where your fin meets the cylinder I don't think that is what you are really after. Sketch2 is waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy too complicated - pattern features rather than sketched (and use = constraints rather than dimensions for multiples of dimensions. Work planes 1 & 2 are not needed. I think a Revolved cut is what you are after but I don't have time to remake your part from scratch right now. I will try to post a more efficient example when I get a chance. Quote
petdem Posted April 27, 2010 Author Posted April 27, 2010 That would be good and beneficial for me JD.Cheers Pete Quote
dshowalt Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 With out re doing sketch 2. Is this what you want? Quote
petdem Posted April 29, 2010 Author Posted April 29, 2010 Thanks dshowalt.Yes that made the cut neatly without cutting into the cylinder except for the Fin at the end which still cuts into the cylinder. How do i make a cut on all the fins without cutting into the cylinder.Cheers Pete Quote
