Hey all
I recieved a file that was created using architectural desktop, personally i am not familiar with AD so i cant use it even though i have it, but when i open the file using autocad i loose all the walls and windows
How can i save the work so i will not loose any lines using autocad
it seems to me that this should be possible and easy to do but i cant seem to do it ... Any help will be appriciated ,,, i have AD 2005 and Autocad 2005

Hi maquette, welcome to the forum. To save an ADT (arch.desktop) drawing down to vanilla Acad, open the drawing in ADT and use the "export to autocad" command. File - Export to AutoCAD - AutoCAD 2004. This will flatten your ADT drawing and change all the AEC content to "dumb" lines and such. Hope this helps. :)
