I have recently installed Autocad 2002 on my laptop but am occuring a strange and enoying problem.
As I move around in model space the cursers movements are tracked and displayed. Eventually the screen is filled with curser movements and you have to regen to see a clear screen.
It also puts a stamp mark in when i move from one picked point to another.

If any body has come across this problem and knows how to fix it that would be great.

The system spec is a Dell 8200 machine.

Regards.

The "stamp mark" that appears when you pick a point is known as as "Blip". You can turn off this feature by typing BLIPMODE at the command prompt and entering OFF.

The cursor trails that you refer to are a different issue and I suspect that this may be the result of a display driver problem. I think the Dell uses either an ATI or nVidia graphics chip. Check the DELL and ATI/nVidia websites for any mention of this problem.
