Need Help!! Drawing refresh rate..

I need some help.

In model space I can pan, and zoom in and out of the drawing (using the scroller on my mouse) very very easily. Everything moves nice and fast and works well....

but in paper space when i scroll to zoom in and out the drawing is very choppy and moves very very slow! It moves even slower when I try to work inside a viewport. This is driving me insane! can anyone help me? It appears it is a setting within autocad because I have never had this problem before, and it is the same for every drawing I open, not just the one I am working on!

Try taking a look at the REGENMODE settings?

Turn the layer manager palette OFF.
