I have been creating dwf's for our contractors to view on the web using release 14. Now I have upgraded to 2006 instead of using export to create the dwf, you have to use Publish, or you can plot to dwf using the dwf writer provided at Autodesk.

Well I can't get my DWF's to not be sideways when I open up my viewer to see them. I went to modify paper size so it could be 36x24, and not 24x36 (because 24x36 puts my drawings upright on the screen and so none of the text is facing the right direction, let alone trying to look at an elevation sideways) but you can not add a different size piece of paper to the function so you can not modify the appearance other than chopping off 12" of my drawing by plotting it the right way in 24" of space and 36" of vertical space.

Does anyone have any advice they can lend me,

Thanks

I never like using DWF. Autodesk still haven't fixed majority of the DWF bugs. Normally I would plot drawing as PDF. You can get free PDF from PrimoPDF.

Well that does sound like something I would prefer to do from a plotting standpoint, but I am not trying to plot these DWF's. These are to be viewed on our website so our contractors can get the information they need from the net and plot at there own liesure, instead of making a special trip to our office to pick up plans. In addition, if we modify our plans, notices get sent out and it is updated within hours of the change being made. And this has worked flawless for about 5 years, and now the update to 2006 has mucked everything up.

Any other help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like a driver problem. I ran into a issue where I had a DWF print driver that was supplied with DWF Composer. The problem was if I selected the DWF print driver from Composer the plots all printed portrait. However if I used the DWF6ePlot.pc3 supplied with AutoCAD the DWF's printed fine.

Hope this helps.
