Hello everyone,

New guy here, using autocad 2004. Whenever I change my fit in my deminsion style manager it changes the fit of all the deminsions throughout my dwg. I usually draw a complete assembly and do the breakout and detailing below it. So naturally my demensions need to be sized according to the size of the part. It has always scaled the deminsions differently according to what My current fit setting was but now it changes them all. I must have changed a setting that I can't recall and don't know about. Can you guys help?

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. Changing the fit in your Dimstyle is a global change. The only way I know of to make a different fit is to create another Dimstyle. Like have dimstyles 'FIT 1' and 'FIT 2'.

Maybe you can say it differently or post a screenshot of your dwg, and I will be able to help better.

Yeah, I think I figured it out, I modify my dimstyle and set current and it went back to working, So essentually I am using a different sub dimstyle with in the dwg. to get the effect i need. do you know what i mean?

I think so - style overrides - right?
