chulse
Can you gurus give me a nudge in the right direction please? What I'd like to do is insert blocks and points along a selected Pline given a list of data containing distance along the line and depth below it. Could the depth value be translated to a Z value based on the elevation of the pline? I'm not asking for a completed program, just some pointers to get started. Thanks! lpseifert
Look into the vlax-curve-getPointAtDist function. This will return the coordinates (x y z) of a point at a specified distance along a curve (line, pline, spline, arc...). You can then manipulate the coordinate list to suit your needs. Sorry Lee, I just can't always figure out how to apply the methods from the other threads to my specific situation. i still find this stuff fairly confusing. alanjt
Trust the CAC. If the distances are different, you would use Dynamic mode.
