joe51
Hi, I am new to this forum and coding in general. Thanks to CAD Tutor for all the knowledge I have acquired here. In an attempt give back, I would like to share a routine that has made my life better. This routine allows the user to create linework from various forms of survey data. User may enter beraing - dist, azimuth(n or s) - dist, deflection angle - dist, curve data, and more. It will also automatically convert different types of units to survey feet, so you no longer have to go through your deed or notes with a calculator first. Hint: enter the indentifier right in front of your distance. 80 chains would produce a 1 mile line if you enter it "c80". This works for several kinds of units. all conversions to US survey foot. --Attachment removed awaiting verification from author-- Enjoy. eldon
the metric conversion is 39.37/12, not that 3.2808 krap some people think is ok to use. I think that you should qualify your statement with the fact that you are using the American surveying foot as a unit instead of the international foot. The rest of the world outside of the USA will not be able to use your helpful lisp
Lee Mac
Thanks for posting, but do you definitely have the rights to distribute the code?
joe51
Lee, If I remember right, it was a promotional deal that just barred me from making any money with it, but since you read the header and questioned it, I am requesting the privacy policy with the company. I no longer have the rest of the package to re-install and read it. If the moderators would like to remove this thread for the time being, I will post it again along with the privacy policy when Geodesk responds. Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for the comment, Lee.
