dinarele
Hi all, probably the solution is very simple, but anyway... i have just started working with Autocad 2011. Once i select the object (any object as polyline, block, circle, etc.) i can not remove the selection without starting the new function, for example going into paper space. Usually in 2010 i just press Esc on keyboard. Also, in my properties box it shows, that nothing has been selected. There is probably some setting, but i cannot find it. Please, help. Thanks. Tankman
Try these three items, thanks to Cad64. At the command line: FILEDIA = 1 PICKFIRST = 1 PICKADD = 1 Then click on what you need to remove, after selections are made, hit your DEL key. Coosbaylumber
Am not sure as to what you are getting at here, but normally, you need to issue a Command in order to get the Pickbox. Such as MOVE or COPY, then can pick the lines, but not the other way around. Wm.
ReMark
It is possible in AutoCAD 2010 as well as some versions prior to select the object first then the command as well as selecting the command and then the object.

Don't have a clue 'bout '10. In '05 and '07 I can just select the object(s) and hit the delete key. Gone.
dinarele
In 2010 and 2011 you can select objects and then pick the command. Also, ir you selected them and deceded, that you don't want them selected you can just hit Esc and they are not selected anymore. I cannot get it work. For some reason sometimes it doesn't react... i mean the Esc button.
ReMark
Did you reprogram your ESC key? Could it just be a malfunctioning key and nothing to do with the program itself?
dinarele
Hi, all, it seems, that many people has the same problem as me in AutoCad 2011, i made a call to our ACad support and they advised, that there is some falt or 'bug' in the 2011. The way to go around this is to click 'open' button and then 'Esc'. after doing that all functions restores: double click function, selection issue. Also, you can download some free 'hot fix' kit from Autodesk website, which solves the issue. thank you everyone for response
