adt2612 Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Using AutoCAD 2008. I often need to change the position of dimension text so that it is right beside the dimension arrow. I currently use the settings Dimension Text Position > move text alone tools but this is time consuming. Is anyone aware of a method of changing the default distance from the arrow head to the text. See attached drawing. The dimensions TT and ST are what I need to achieve. The 70 dim is the default. Andrew dimension sample.dwg Quote

adt2612 Posted December 19, 2010 Author Posted December 19, 2010 how to fix the shortcut for dimetext move to home position. Thanks John Pieter but I cannot make it work as you have suggested. I need the text against the back of the dimension arrow. Quote
