You can Insert PDF files as OLE objects in AutoCAD. I can say for sure that 2008 and forward support this, but I assume further back than that.

2010+ is probably your best bet as it allows importing pdf's as underlays and also allows you to snap to pdf geometry and layer control.

This has to be dependent on how the PDF was created right?

OK, I did try this and was able to insert the PDF, but after zooming in, it doesn't look very good. Maybe a pixel thing, I don't know. It looks like I took a small PDF and sized it up to where it looks distorted.

Yeah, the quality of the PDF is not somthing you can do much about as far as I know - it depends on how the PDF was created mostly.

Thank you guys for information. At the moment we are working on old version AutocadLT 2000i so we want to upgrade our Auto Cad. Till now I saved all pdf as jpg and than inserted that as image or converted pdf to dwg...that only made sufficient for working only with some files.

As now all incoming files is pdf i am looking for best and sufficient way to get Autocad drawing out of that.

Tiger!!! could you tell me more about OLE objects??? As you see I am granny from 2000!!!

once again Thank you!!!
