Spinxy Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Hey, I'm sure this one pretty easy, but i can't find one. I'm looking for a simple renumbering with a prefix. I have one for editing attributes, but it sadly don't work with normal text. or is there a way of adding a prefix to the autonumbering in express tools? Thanks Quote
Spinxy Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 I searched numinc and found some really useful tools, but they was more orientated to producing new auto numbered text. and there were some that wasn't running for some reason. I'd really like a similar lisp to the one attached, which replaces existing text as you click them. I've tried looking though this lisp to modify it myself but i'm just not experienced enough, however i'm sure it won't be hard for someone with more experience to quickly modify this one to work on normal text to. Thanks Attribute Numbering.lsp Quote

Thanks NumInc does this, when you run the LISP and fill out the pop up box with the prefix, suffix etc bsaically the details you require once you click OK you are then given a few options on the commandline, one of which is "replace", hit R and just click the existing text and it will be replaced by what you require Quote

Lt Dan's legs Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Didn't Lee Mac make a renumber attributes command in VL? I think it was something like specify starting number and then select all the blocks that apply... or was that you Alan? Quote

Spinxy Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 I'll have a look at it agian monday as i haven't got CAD on my laptop, but from memory i think lee mac's latest numinc didn't work, does it also require a dll file with it? as i think i have tried an earlier version that required a dll file which worked but didn't have command promt for replace! cheers Quote

As far as I am aware there shouldnt be but I only ever use appload or put it into the starting directory so it automatically loads up with autocad Quote
