nidhi singhania Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Hello, Can anyone please tell me the method to insert image in a particular picture in autocad! I wanted to insert am image of brick work, in a circular design on the wall (elevation), in cad...But was unable to do so. Quote
nidhi singhania Posted July 9, 2010 Author Posted July 9, 2010 Thank you, but is there some short cut command for it! Quote
nidhi singhania Posted July 9, 2010 Author Posted July 9, 2010 I tried doing as you directed, but the image is coming in rectangular shape, not in a circular or L- SHAPE boundary. Quote
rkmcswain Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 You will have to use the ._ImageClip command, or the Express Tools command "ClipIt". Tip: For ._ImageClip, use a multi-sided (±200 sides) polygon for a 'circular' clipping shape. Quote
profcad Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Draw a circle over the image then use the Express Tool ->Modify -> Extended Trim command. Quote
nidhi singhania Posted July 9, 2010 Author Posted July 9, 2010 I dont know, but i am just not being able to get it right. Thank you, for all your suggestions, but it somehow, isnt helping me. Quote

iskalipsi Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Thanks for the nice video but i cant get it to clip using the circle.I only have the "Enter clipping type [Polygonal/Rectangular]" choices. Quote

I did not use a circle. Watch the command line during the animation and you will see that I used a multi-sided polygon. As explained earlier in this thread, you can use a circle if you use the Express Tools command "ClipIt", but you end up with the same result, because the actual clipping object in either case will be a multi-sided polyline. nidhi singhania Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 Say suppose, i need to insert an image within an irregular boundary, how can i do that! Quote
Cad64 Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 You might want to take a look at the Express Tools SUPERHATCH command. Quote
